Different styles of investors choose where to put their money for different reasons.
Growth investor try to find companies which they think will grow faster than the rest of the stock market, while value investors opt for solid companies which are expected to perform solidly rather than spectacularly over the longer-term.
Momentum investors try to cash in on market trends by buying or selling investments as they come in to and go out of fashion.
Despite the volatility seen in the last 12 months, 2016 looks to be the year of the value investor, with record levels of investor money flowing in to this investment style.
