Businesses are waiting to find out more about what the trading environment might look after the UK leaves the EU before committing themselves to investing.
That's according to the latest quarterly economic barometer from The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
Despite this, the ICAEW's forecast for economic growth in 2016 has been modestly upgraded from 1.8% to 2%.
