Share Politics: Putting one's housing in order
Glen Goodman
Original Broadcast:
The Share Radio Evening Show
There have been more long nights in Westminster as MPs continue to debate the Bill which would let the Prime Minister trigger Britain's exit from the EU. Whilst the Commons gave an initial thumbs up to the Bill last week, this week is the Committee stage, giving opposition a chance to park their tanks on the Government's lawn. A litany of amendments have been proposed by Labour and the SNP and, though most have been shot down, earlier this afternoon the Government promised MPs they'd get a vote on the final deal.
Meanwhile, Sajid Javid has described the British housing market as 'broken' as he unveils the Government's housing White Paper. A 3-billion pound fund will be set up to help small firms build 25-thousand new homes in England by 2020.
For all this and more, Share Radio's Glen Goodman was joined by Laura Sainsbury of FTI Consulting, Lord John Shipley, the Liberal Democrat's Shadow Housing Minister, and Adam Bienkov, UK Political Editor at BusinessInsider.
