Share Politics: To the Lords

MPs may have backed the Government's Brexit bill last night, but Theresa May isn't in the clear just yet. In order to trigger Article 50 and begin divorce proceedings with the EU she needs the approval of the House of Lords as well as the Commons. The Bill now passes to the lords, where a month of debate may result in a simple passing of the bill, which would then become law. But if the Lords make amendments then the bill will go back to the commons where these changes will either be accepted, or rejected in which case the bill goes back to the lords for yet more debate.
To discuss the process further - and the day's other political headlines - Share Radio's Glen Goodman was joined by Mick Fealty, Editor of Slugger O'Toole
