When it comes to security we're used to measures such as window locks and burglar alarms but worrying numbers of us are falling short when it comes cyber safety. Despite the high levels of cyber crime we're seeing many don't even take basic measures like changing passwords regularly or using up to date anti-vrius software. Currently the Government is trying to tackle this with new campaigns from Cyber Aware, as well as setting up the new National Cyber Security Centre. Carrying out financial transactions on your desktop and other such traditional methods are more susceptible to cybercrime than using your mobile. That’s according to research by security technology company Threatmetrix, which shows one million cyberattacks targeted online lending transactions in 2016. Cyber fraud expert from Threatmetrix, Dr. Stephen Moody, spoke to Share Radio’s Anviksha Patel to discuss the research further.
