Theresa May: UK must leave EU single market
Theresa May has set out her 12-point plan of action to give the UK a clean break from the European Union. The Prime Minister's proposals for the UK leaving the EU mean Britain can't stay in the European single market, insisting that Britain must be proud and free to seek trade deals around the world. The final deal will be put to a vote in both Houses of Parliament. Mrs May also said that the UK will not look to be a member of the single market after leaving the European Union. To get a deeper analysis of today's Brexit speech, Simon Rose joined by David Talbot of FTI Consulting.
