The Institute for Leadership and Management has found that allowing employees to work flexibly can significantly reduce stress levels. Its recent survey found that 65% of managers think flexible working helps to keep workers motivated and committed. Moving away from the elections, the EU’s chief Brexit negotiator Michel Barnier says it was wrong to suggest Brexit would be a fast and painless process with no impact on people’s lives. He's highlighted the rights of EU citizens, the final divorce settlement, and the Irish border question as the key issues that must be addressed.

Barclaycard has published its consumer spend data for March today showing spending up 4.6 per cent year-on-year last month. The first quarter saw record rises in supermarket spending in January - 2.9 percent - and in the amount spent on petrol - 19.2 percent in February.
