Shareholder activism was on the up last year - and it looks like the trend is set to continue. The Activistmonitor 2016 Data Analysis has revealed the latest trends when it comes to shareholder activism - which is a way in which shareholders can influence a corporation's behavior by exercising their rights as owners, normally via influencing the board of directors and management in some way.
